Chapter 9: Part 9

*Kendall's pov*

I'm in the car with Evan, driving to dinner. I have no idea where we're going but I know it will be fun

because I'm here with Cara and this cute ass baby. I look at Cara and she's focused on the road.

She looks really cute when she's focused, she adjusts herself in her seat and holds my hand with her

right hand.

"Sorry, I feel safer when I can hold someone's hand while driving," I blush and smile. novelbin

"I don't mind, it's cute" she smiles and focuses back on the road.

I look at the window and see we are pulling into McDonald's.

"It's his favorite place to eat, I hope you don't mind."

"No, I love McDonald's, they have great lemonades," she turns off the car.

"Cool because I like playing in the playhouse."

She gets out of the car and walks over to my door and opens it for me. I smile and get out of the car.

She goes to the back and gets Evan out of his car seat and grabs his diaper bag before we begin to

walk in. She holds the door open for me and I walk in to see it's empty.

"That's weird, normally this place is packed," she said while walking to the counter.

"Can I have a kids meal with chicken nuggets and fries instead of fruit and can I have apple juice

please?" the lady over the counter speaks up.

"Anything else?"

"Yes, can I also have the buttermilk bacon meal with a large fry and a large sprite?" Cara looks at me

waiting for me to tell the girl my order.

"Hi, can I have a big mac and a small strawberry lemonade on ice please?" the lady smile and tells us

our order, and before I can pull out my money Cara already paid.

"You're going to have to let me pay sooner or later" she smiles and said thank you to the lady as she

grabs our cups along with Evans apple juice.

We go over to fill our cups.

"I hope it's alright if I share your fries with you?" I ask shyly.

"I was hoping you would."

We grab our food and go into the playhouse area and sit down and begin to eat our food. Cara cuts up

Evan's food and one at a time gives his food.

"You enjoying your food?" she said while she gives Evan some apple juice.

"Yes, thank you for asking. How's yours?" she asked me.

"It's delicious."

She finished her last bite of food and helps Evan finish his.

"Alright buddy take one last slip of your apple juice and then you can play on the slide," Evan's face

lights up and he starts to jump on Cara's lap.

"Let's do this buddy, you coming ken?"

"Nah I'll sit here and watch you guys."

She smiles.

"Okay, but it will be fun," with that she gets up and carries Evan to the slide and sits down putting him

on her lap.

They go down the slide and Evan's laughter fills up the room making me smile at the sound. They do

the slide about 5 times and then play in the space ship thing on the top. After that, they come down and

Cara is holding Evan's hands as he slowly walks to me. Once he reaches me he hugs me and I pick

him up.

"Was that fun?" he smiles and grabs my cheeks and smashed his little lips on my face.

"I guess that is a yes."

Cara cleans up the table and grabs the diaper bag before she takes Evan from me.

"Let's go clean you up, there are germs here."

She goes to the bathrooms and stands there. I walk over and hear she's talking to Evan.

"Which one do you go into bud this one or that one?" she points to the ladies' room and the men's

room.

Evan lefts up his hand and looks like he's really thinking about his answer. He points to Cara's nose

and then the men's room.

"That's right Evan, you go in the men's room but I know its dirty in there so we will go into the ladies'

room okay?" she said.

Evan smiles and nods. They go into the bathroom and come out 5 minutes later and Cara's face is all

wet.

"What happened?" I giggle.

"He likes water," she said while laughing.

I grab some napkins from the table next to us and clean her face off.

"There you go, all dry now" she smiles.

"You guys are a very cute family."

We both look behind us to see an older man and what seems to be his husband.

"Oh no, we aren't a family," Cara said while blushing.

Did she just blush? Oh my God, that's really cute.

One of the men speaks up.

"Still if you will be, it will be very cute. It was nice meeting you, see ya," he said and waves as they

leave.

I look at Cara and she's just smiling.

"Let's go get some ice cream" she holds the door open for me again.

We get in the car and buckle up before starting the car.

"So, where are we getting ice cream?"

She looks at me.

"There's this place I love but it's kind of far if you don't mind," she said.

"It's fine with me. I'm having a great time," she pulls out of the parking spot and begins driving.
