The Greatest Man Alive

Chapter 523

Chapter 523

“Who was that man just now?” Barne stopped, turned around, and asked.

“His name is Disrak from NGS, the son of Soskov…”

Irene was completely desperate, knowing that Barne would not save her unless she explained it to him. So she immediately told him everything in one breath.

Barne patted Virgina, indicating the bewildered girl to stand aside, and then said with a smile, “You should have told me earlier…”

Irene’s face was full of bitterness. She had never thought that she would meet Disrak when she came to Hechland!

The two foreign men obviously couldn’t understand the official language of Hechland. Seeing that Barne and Irene were still chattering away, they couldn’t help feeling impatient.

“Don’t chatter away, or I’ll kill you!” One of them said coldly to Josua.

“Oh, oh, oh, sorry. I’ll kill you right now…” Barne turned around with a smile on his face and said to him.

“What did you say?!” The two foreigners were taken aback when they heard this, and then a cold light came out of their eyes.

All of a sudden, the two of them took action. One was rushing towards Irene while the other was fighting against Barne!

Irene came from the Swallow Camp. The Swallow Camp taught them how to seduce men and how to steal information but not how to fight. Therefore, she could only wait to die.

At the sight of this Nievic stalwart man rushing at him, Barne instantly came to his senses, strode forward, and reached out to the man’s shoulder!

The Nievic man felt as if he was carrying a mountain on his shoulders. With a click, his shoulders collapsed, and his body fell to the ground hard.

If one took a closer look, he would find his bones had been dislocated and snapped off by Barne’s slap!

The other Nievic man was rushing towards Irene. As he was about to catch her, he suddenly felt a huge force coming from behind his belt.

Knowing that someone had grabbed his belt, he immediately raised his arms, twisted his body and punched Barne behind him on the head!

The sandbag-sized fist was blocked by Barne’s wrist in the air. Barne’s five fingers closed together to pinch his forearm.

There was a crack

It was heard clearly that the bones were broken. The Nievic man fell to the ground, crying.

Barne squinted and said with a smile, “They are skilled. No wonder they are from NGS…”

Irene was so shocked when she saw the two robust men beaten by Josua. Her eyes were wide open.

“It seems that you have a lot of stories. Tell me slowly later,” said Barne to Irene.

Irene nodded with a stiff expression and said, “Okay…” novelbin

She had no choice. She was alone in Hechland, without a backer, so she could only turn to Josua. She was in despair, as she had been when she was sent to the Swallow Camp for training. She was confused about the future, and could only long for freedom indefinitely.

Virgina couldn‘t help but look at Irene in horror, and asked, “Irene, who are you?”

Barne said to Virgina, “Virgina, go home by yourself. I have something to talk to Irene about…”

Virgina panicked and said, “Mr. Evans, don’t drive me away.”

“It is not your fault. Don’t worry. You will have a good future,” said Barne indifferently.

Virgina pursed her lips and nodded lightly. If possible, no girl would try to use her body to please a man.

Barne thought for a while and took Irene back home.

Irene seemed a little at a loss, restless.

Barne poured her a cup of hot coffee, then sat down opposite her and said, “Tell me your story, Miss Evans…”

Irene asked, “Can I have a cigarette?”

Barne smiled, “I don’t like smoking, so there are no cigarettes at home. By the way, I don’t like women smoking, so you’d better not smoke.”

Irene could only smile wryly, took a sip of coffee silently, and said, “Okay…”

“Don’t lie to me. If I find out that you have lied, I will throw you on the street. As for what Soskov’s son wants to do to you, it has nothing to do with me.” Barne put his legs on the coffee table, slumped on the sofa, and fixed his eyes on Irene.

He sat casually, but Irene felt a very strong sense of oppression. It was even more terrifying than facing her immediate boss back then.

“I just told you, Mr. Evans. I am from the Swallow Camp in Nievic,” Irene said and added, “Do you know anything about the Swallow Camp?”

Barne said, “I only know that the Swallow Camp is an organization under NGS and only accepts girls, so it has such a name.”

Irene said, “That’s right. The Swallow Camp trains girls only, and then sends these girls to wealthy businessmen and politicians to steal confidential information from them. We have received many kinds of training since we were young, including music, dancing, painting, and things like that… Some even worked hard to learn the culture of Hechland. I have a friend who plays the viola very well, and I learned chess.”

Barne nodded and said, “So, you have not received any training on assassination and physical fitness.”

Irene said, “We have assassination training, but it’s just some simple poisoning or how to cause accidental death. Girls like us are mostly sent out by the Swallow Camp to the upper classes. It is therefore impossible to train in physical fitness. The more agile we are, the more risks for exposure.”

Barne said, “Oh, did you learn to seduce men in the camp?”

“Yes, it is the most important subject, how to use your own charm to attract a man,” said Irene with a wry smile.

Barne got a general idea of Irene and said thoughtfully, “However, what interests me more is why are you so afraid of Disrak? What is your mission in Hechland?”

Irene said slowly, “Would you believe me if I say I don’t have a mission?”

Barne shook his head and said, “No, I don’t believe it. The Swallow Camp has made lots of effort to train such excellent agents as you, so it is impossible not to assign a mission to you.”

This Swallow Camp was a very powerful existence. Some women had even become the mistresses of high-ranking officials in Nordime, stealing a lot of important information.

The cost of training a swallow was no less than the cost of training a fighter pilot. Pilots were one of the most valuable existences in a country. It often took tens of millions of dollars to train an excellent pilot. Therefore, in wartime, pilots were the most favored captives.

A country was often willing to pay a high price in exchange for captured pilots.
