CHAPTER 31

Selena stirred softly on her bed before sitting up to stretch her arms. That's when she noticed that she is completely naked. Its not something new for her to wake up naked without recalling how she became naked but this time there was a man, naked too in her bed.

“Ahh!!!!” she shouted before pulling her duvet up to her chest and recoiled herself to the wall that is against the bed, landing with a light thud. Zaden stirred, he looked completely exhausted. Hairy chest exposed, messed up hair and his voice even more deep and husky then his usual morning voice. He could barely open his eyes.

“Hmm...What?” he asked in his barely awake state

“Zaden, you are naked in my bed!!!” she whispered with evident tension. He opened one eye to see the frightened eyes and messy hair, strands hiding part of her left eye but still, the super cute Selena

“So?” he asked before grabbing her wrist and pulling her towards him. She fell on top of him, one hand still holding her duvet up. He shuffled her like a pro to lay next to him and then pulled her closer to him by her waist and dipped his face into her neck. Front to front, nothing but a duvet between them. Selena shrunk her shoulder due to tickling in her neck.

“Zaden, did we...Did we?” she asked with worries. That's when Zaden realized that it is Selena, not her wolf and he is in a tough position to deny their intimacy, a few hours ago, in the early morning. He threw himself back as if she electrocuted him, hoisted with the support of one elbow. Then he threw his head back in frustration

“Arghhh... why am I always stuck in this situation???” he exclaimed, making Selena flicker her eye in confusion. He turned to see her innocent face agitated. For a second, he really wanted pull her to him, not caring about anything and have her one more time, perfect morning breakfast in bed. Yet, he forced control over himself and that nasty hands of his.

“No sweety, we didn't. We came back after a shift and fell asleep naked, that's all, all right?” not completely a lie, he just hide the part where they made out intensely after coming back and then she wrapped her legs around Zaden's waist where he thrust her like a mad man, making her scream but then they are in the brick house, screaming is not allowed. So he shut her mouth with his palms and continued fucking her, bouncing her in his arms before they both came undone, and then fell asleep naked. Just a harmless, tiny, unnecessary detail.

“Get out” she pushed him off bed

“Oh my god woman, I'm naked too. Can you relax for a second please...” now he look irritated but Selena didn't care. She just wanted him off. So he just stood out of the duvet, naked, making Selena flinch and shut her eye before he walked to her closet, pulled out a sweatpants that he kept long time ago and walked out of the room, not forgetting to give her a kiss in the air before he walked pass the door. She mumbled curses under her breath, before getting up for a shower.

At the communal room, Selena was sitting in the velvety green extra-large single sofa. It has been her favorite chair since it makes her feel cozy. Orion had just gave her a tub of chocolate ice-cream and sat her there. She was enjoying it.

“What are they doing there?” Makeala was venting referring to the poacher and rogue from yesterday

“Poaching” Selena said casually, digging her spoon into the ice-cream tub, not even looking up but all 5 pack leaders throw a glare at her.

“Ya, but how did they come in?” Xavier

“That's easy” Selena said in the same manner again, she didn't realize she was actually answering them aloud. It was supposed to be in her mind. Suddenly she felt out of air and looked up. All 5 pack leaders had surrounded her, arms across their chest, glaring at her. Zaden snatched the ice-cream tub from her.

“What?” Selena irritated

“Care to explain how it's easy to enter Mountain Manuka?” Zaden asked coldly. Selena stood up, both her hands opened in the air ,with spoon in one hand.

“I told you, the day I came back itself, your territory defense is lousy. Remember?” she snatched back the tub of ice-cream from Zaden and plopped back to her sofa

“Can someone please make this woman talk?” Zaden pinched the bridge of his nose, frustrated of not being able to handle this little thing in front of him when he had finished off 30 rogue single handedly at a time.

“Selena, how did you come that day?” Xavier crouched in front of Selena

“From east side, climbed down till I see a river and went with the flow.” Selena answered casually

“Are you sure? Maybe you are confused with…” Selena cut off Sitka

“Sitka, I am used to hiking mountains, I know exactly where I came from. I started at the same point that I came the first time, but I got diverted. I didn't come across the mother waterfall and I knew I was lost. So I kept climbing and all I see is a camping zone and thickest forest”

“What camping zone?” Zaden

“You know, the one behind east mountain, the mountain that looks like pregnant woman belly.” Again Selena with the same casual manner, making Zaden chuckle

“I’m surprised anyone notice that our mountains look like pregnant woman laid on her back. Her belly is the seventh mountain. Was there any humans camping there?” Zaden asked

“No, just the remnants of camping, bonfire residues, kettles and stuff, so I assumed it's a camping zone.” After that all 5 circled up, leaving behind Selena and discussing further

“Does that mean they come often?” Makaela

“How did our patrol team miss it?” Sitka

“How did they dig up a pit hole that big without anyone noticing?” Orion

“Maybe there is a black sheep within our pack. Zaden, did you notice anything weird among pack members?” Xavier

“Did you morons cover up the hole?” A sweet, soft voice came from behind them, still digging into the tub. They exchanged look with wide eyes

“Shit” they rushed out of the room while Selena devoted herself to the ice-cream. Zaden ran back into the room, snatched the ice-cream and placed it on the table, grabbed her wrist and pulled her behind him.

They had to shift into wolfs so that they can get there fast and Selena sat on Zaden, having her eyes squeezed shut to avoid any eye contact with other wolfs. They look much bigger and vicious in day light. Within 30 minutes of run, they arrive again at the seventh mountain and shift back, put on the cloths that Selena was carrying in her bag pack. A tap on her shoulder notified Selena that they have shifted and all dressed up. She stood up from behind the tree and walked to the trap pit.

“A pit this big must have done with machineries” Orion said

“But how can a machinery enter without being noticed?” Xavier

“More importantly, when?” Selena

“What do you mean by that?” Orion asked her in confusion

“Look around, its thick forest. If they have come with machineries recently, these trees wouldn't have grown that fast to cover up the tracks.” Selena was walking around the pit, inspecting attentively, when she noticed dried leaves at the bottom of the pit, pointing at one direction.

“If they want to do this unnoticed, leaving no track, they must have done it by hand...” Makeala was cut off

“Or they must have done it from underground” Selena was already crouching at the opposite site of the pit. All 5 rushed to her and crouched down.

“Look at the dried leaves” She pointed at the bottom of pit

“They are pointing at one direction. Rain water must have collected here and when they drain out rapidly, the leaves turn to water flow direction and settle down in this manner. So, if my guess is correct, there must be some sort of drainage hole right there” she pointed with one eye closed. Zaden grabbed her face by side and pulled her towards him, laying a very hard long kiss on her cheeks, making her pout like a gold fish

“Ummwa... you are brilliant” they all sat down at the pit, ready to jump in.

“Thanks, although a chocolate ice-cream is much appreciated” she mumbled to herself. They all jumped in except for Selena who is looking at them weirdly

“Come on, jump” Orion already extending his arm towards her

“You want me to jump too?” they nodded

“Then who is going to pull you all out of this pit?” they mentally slapped themselves for rushing into action.

“And I suppose you would be able to pull us out in one swift move?” Zaden mocked her tiny figure. Selena sat on the pit edge, one leg folded, one leg dangling down and one of her hand resting her chin

“Fine, Alpha. Let's see how you guys get out of there without my help” they huffed in annoyance and went to the direction she pointed earlier. They had to clear out a lot of dried leave before being able to see a 3 feet tall metal sewer cover. They tried to open it, kick it and pull it but it was too tight even for their werewolf strength.

“We have to find the other end of this” Zaden said, clutching his waist and panting. They all agreed and turned around and looked up at Selena, who is now wiggling her eyebrows at them.

“You jumped out of here yesterday, didn't you Zaden?” Xavier asked, not yet ready to give up to Selena.

“She helped me out yesterday or else I wouldn't have come out” Zaden. novelbin

After looking around for a while, they finally gave up

“Ok, fine. You win. Now help us out” Orion said through his gritted teeth.

She sighed out “Now why would I do that? What would I get in exchange?” she said cocky. Zaden recalled how her wolf did the same days ago.

“She is not that different from her wolf” he mumbled

“Fine, what you want?” Zaden shouted from bottom

Selena straightened her back “Hmm...Kneel down” they were a bit surprised

“Selena, be precise, there is an alpha here” Makeala said, warning her to be submissive, but Selena would be Selena

“Ok...Alpha Zaden, Beta Orion, Beta Makeala, Delta Xavier and Delta Sitka, kneel down, please” they all looked at Zaden. Zaden rolled his neck in annoyance before kneeling down, followed by his leader's pack.

“Now, repeat after me. You are our queen, Selena...we worship and love you...” she said

The pack sighed out before repeating her words in chorus

“Good puppy. Now, Zaden will be in charge of buying ice-cream and chocolates for me, Makeala will be bringing me to shopping. Orion, Xavier and Sitka will be my bodyguards so that I don't have to learn defense” Selena said

“What? No way” they rebelled

“Your call...” Selena said arrogantly, not even considering what will happen if they find a way up. After some protest, they finally agreed

“Oh ya, no more resistance training” her eyes narrowed to Zaden

“Don't push it, baby girl” Zaden said through his gritted teeth. Selena exhaled in annoyance

“Fine, now an IQ question. This pit is at least 15 or even 20 feet deep, 15 feet wide pit. If it is true someone is using this to get into Mount Manuka, how would they come up from this pit on regular basis?” they looked at each other in confusion

“She got a point” Orion whispered. After a few look around, they looked back at Selena and she cocked her eyebrow before kicking the pit wall with her dangling leg. A metal sound echoed down the pit. They rushed to the wall and pulled out all the vines that has been growing around to reveal a ladder

“Not everyone want to climb the waterfall when there is a staircase…” She said, mocking Xavier. Makeala climbed up first, reaching the top within minutes and Selena helped pull her up.

“What was down there?” Selena

“A metal sewer cover. We pushed it, kicked it, pulled it but nothing worked” Makeala said panting

“Did you try twisting it?” Selena as usual, asked casually, alerting all those that are still at the bottom of pit and Sitka who is half way up the ladder.

“What?” Zaden asked

“You know, like a bottle cap, twist around” Selena drew an O with her fingers. They look at each other and Sitka jumped off the ladder, rushing back to the cover. They grabbed the cover and pushed it to twist and it worked. The cap opened wide revealing a dark passage way. Zaden scratch his temple in annoyance

“Makeala, would you do me a favor? Push her down, please” Zaden said looking up

“What, Makeala no...” before Selena could finish talking, Makeala pushed her into the pit. She gasped for air as she fell down, covering her head with her arms but Zaden and Orion had already joined their hands as a bridge and she landed perfectly between them
