Regal Guard of Dragon

Chapter 869 She Wasn't Willing to Leave

Chapter 869 She Wasn't Willing to Leave

Magnus took a step forward, but the woman shouted, "Don't."

She retreated.

Magnus had to stop, and then said, "You will be free if you come with me. Would you go with me to a

place where you can be at ease?"

The woman trembled lightly, and she felt uneasy.

With long eyelashes, her eyes were beautiful. As they blinked, they revealed the eyeshadow.

She looked so charming, but so sad. No one knew if she was sad for Magnus or something else.

"Go away. We'll be fine. Trust me," said she. She didn't seem that frightened now, at least she didn't

retreat.

"I don't believe it. All I know is that you've always been unhappy, and you'll never be happy if you go on

like this." insisted Magnus. He was such a bigot.

As he spoke, he took another step ahead, but the woman just stood there.

"You know something, don't you?" The woman asked.

Magnus said, "Yes, I know your relationship with me. I remember all those things. I hate myself for

forgetting everything."

"You shouldn't have thought of them. They'll do you now good. You were born in the Qian family, and

you live in the Qian family. The Qian family is your back. I'm just a normal person and do you no good.

You should give me up."

She kept her emotions tightly reined in and tried to be rational, for she felt that this was the best path

for Magnus, and the best path for her as well.

But Magnus cried, "I don't want you to tell me what to do. I will decide it myself."

He wanted to rush to the woman, but he was afraid of making her panic.

The woman felt nervous and she said, "Because I love you, and I don't want you to live a painful life."

"No, I don't. I'd rather give up everything, if I were to give you up," Magnus intercepted her.

"Why did you do that..."

The woman crouched down, holding herself. She seemed to be weeping, but she did not want Magnus

to see her weeping.

Magnus heard footsteps coming in, and, spoke quickly, "I will take you away when the dinner is over."

Then he turned and walked away.

When the woman looked up again, Magnus had left, but her makeup was in a mess. novelbin

The two girls had come back. When they saw the woman, they cried out loud, "What's wrong, lady?

Your makeup is in a mess."

The woman stood up and picked herself up. After years of hardship, she could easily control her

emotions. When she spoke to them, she smiled and said, "I'm so happy today."

"Yes, the bridegroom is the descendant of the Wu family. He's so handsome and talented."

The woman did not listen to their praise of her future husband; she was thinking of Magnus.

She didn't know what Magnus was going to do, but she knew he was going to try to take her away, and

she had to stop him.

The dinner soon began, and, of course, both the bride and bridegroom should come out to meet their

guests.

The woman wore a light smile, gentle and attractive. She gently held the bridegroom's arm as they

walked to the guests.

Finn was also looking at the bride, who might experience different stories.

She was indeed very beautiful, especially her eyes. It was said that the eyes were the window of the

soul. It would reflect what a person was thinking.

Most of the guests felt she was joyous, but Finn saw loneliness in her eyes.

"Well, did she agree?" asked Finn as Magnus approached him.

"She didn't, but I would take her anyway." Magnus was determined as ever.

Finn was shocked, but quickly calmed himself down. "You're crazy," he whispered. "I told you that if she

didn't agree, it won't work."

But Magnus ignored him. "I'll have to do it even if you don't help me, and I've told her I'm going to take

her away after the wedding."

Finn felt upset. He shouldn't have helped Magnus in the first place. But now he had no choice.

The couple were in the limelight and they were the focus of tonight.

On the stage, the master of ceremonies presided over the wedding's process. Everything seemed to be

harmonious, and everyone was in a happy mood.

Children shouted happily, adults talked to each other, women talked about gossip or fashion, and men

about career or women, and occasionally they would express their blessing to the couple.

They were a good match, as Cassius said.

Time was fair to all, and the dinner was drawing to a close, whether it was a joyous occasion, an

endured pain, or a forced affliction.

Finn walked over to Magnus. "There will be chaos," he said. "If she agrees to go with you, I'll help you

create chaos. By then, you put her in the dining car. It depends on you whether you can persuade her

to go with you."

Finn then left Magnus. That was all he could do and the rest was left to Magnus.

Leighton had been watching Finn all the time, even when Finn and Magnus came into contact.

But when Finn approached him voluntarily, he was surprised.

He held the caning, waiting for Finn to come to him.

"Sir, I suddenly feel that we need to work things out," Finn said with a smile as he moved closer to him.

Leighton was stunned and asked, "What do you mean?"

"I don't think you will let me go, so I'll just come to you and get the things done, lest I'll always be

nervous."

Although Leighton was surprised, he remained calm. "You want to have a fight with me in the Qian

family?"
