Benedict felt emotional after speaking to the little boys for a long time.

These two children had grown up without many things that any ordinary kid would have, yet he, as their grandfather, did nothing.

Fortunately, Rosalie, as a mother, brought them up quite well. From the conversation, Benedict could see that there was no deviation in the personalities and mentalities of the two children.

“Is Estie getting thinner lately? Look at her!” Melody muttered, “Did her mommy not do her job and feed Estie well?”

She was apparently trying to blame Rosalie.

Estelle immediately shook her head and explained, “Grandma, there's no such thing. Mommy fell sick a while ago, really, really sick! She has just started getting better. I’m worried about Mommy, but I am eating well.”

Hearing Melody accusing his mommy, Lucian spoke out for her, “Mommy is nice to Estie. Estie looks a little thinner because she has lost her baby fat. I’m sure her weight is just the same.”

It was a reasonable and logical response. Benedict nodded his head and smiled.

Nox did not want just to stand by. He added, “Mopmmy treats Estie the best among us three. She'll make sure Estie has a balanced diet whenever we have our meals. She eats everything—vegetables, meat, and even fruits. Mommy cares about Estie. She even taught Estie many idioms.”

Melody could say nothing. No one in the room was on her side.

She could only put on a long face and mutter, “It’s almost time. Benedict, let’s leave.”

“Okay, please wait for me outside. I have something to tell the three kids.”

Melody immediately headed out.

Meanwhile, Benedict stayed behind to discuss with the three little ones what gifts they wanted.

He wanted to make up for what the Lawrence family owed the two children.
