Chapter 48: THE DATE

Standing on the first floor by the stairs was her small frail figure dressed in knee length denim skirt and

a white off shoulder top. She completed her look with white sneakers and a French hat sitting above

her beautiful wavey hairs. She chose pearl earrings and a simple necklace to compliment her beauty!

She wasn't white like him but rather had an olive tone; in that outfit she looked young and chaste- like a

flower yet to be seen or touched by mankind. She never dresses up like this, maybe she put efforts on

her look keeping in mind that they were going on an official date. Ryan's heart skipped a few beats

when she tucked her locks behind her ears and smiled at him shyly.

She walked down the stairs and stood in front of him; Ryan, though never lost his cool, was getting his

hands soaked in swear as she inches closer. He stood up and observed her charm, how can someone

not fall in love with her- she was literally an angel in disguise. "Happy Valentine's day, gorgeous." Ryan

wished her with a tone oozing with love for her. She hung her eyes shyly and replied, "Happy

Valentine's day, Ryan."

Ryan said, "That.. you... You look really beautiful, Cathey."

She blused but said nothing; her rosey cheeks, for some reason, was sending butterflies down his

stomach. He gifted her the lilies and chocolates he bought for her which she gladly accepted and like

always, tried to sniff the aroma out of those smell-less flowers.

He cleared his throat and stuck out his arm, with another arm tied back he bowed and smiled at her,

"Ma'am, make this the best day of my life by accompanying me."

"Rayn..." She giggled before grabbing his hands, she couldn't help but blush her heart out. The

housekeeper watched the two leave, they looked so much in love.

Ryan led her to his car and made her sit on the passengers seat, he helped her put the seatbelt and

after he himself sat on the driver's seat he stepped on the gas pedal and drove away the car.

The two were supposed to spend the whole day together and he had planned the whole day ahead.

Since it was Valentine's day the two could spot many young couple together in street. Even though the

streets looked regular the love which was being shared by these couples were making these.

Ryan first took her to Tibidabo, the biggest Amusement park in Barcelona. The big rides and bizarre

foods made the girl really happy, despite it was crowded and Ryan hated to be in a place stuffed with

people he didn't lose his cool as Catherine was everywhere to lighten his mood. He held her small

hands in his and took her to everywhere she asked for.

On her request they had lunch at a pretty stall by the Ferris wheel. By the time they left the park it was

already around 4 in the evening, the girl wore big funky glasses, a bunny hairband and held funny

balloons and a gigantic fairy floss by the time she exited. Ryan too, to accompany her wore devil novelbin

hairbands. If he was to be seen by his subordinates he would become a laughing stock yet he didn't

hold himself back as him wearing these made her really happy.

The couple drove around the city to rest a bit before he drove to a newly opened luxury mall in the city;

she bought a few things for him and her and even gifted him a new tie and belt. He, with his pockets in

his hands, followed behind the girl carefully and pictured every moment they spent together.

By the time they were done the sun was already about to set, the city of Barcelona was gleaming with

the lights and was a sight to see. Ryan then drove her to her father's company, the building have them

nostalgia as she hadn't visited this place for a long time. After Ryan came in her life she either went to

his house or he came to accompany her, she was never left alone in that room beside her father's

cabin to play alone.

She kept on staring at the building before the man helped her snap out of her fantasies. Hand in hand

the two walked inside the infrastructure. Employees left a tad early today as they had plans for the

evening, no one else than the security was there. Since he knew who these two kids were he didn't

stop them; the two kids walked into the empty reception before boarding the lift.

"Why did you bring me here, Ryan?" She asked calmly looking at him. He replied nonchalantly, "This

place holds a special meaning to me; this is where I found my life- the place where I met you."

Ryan was not this cheesy always but today he had no hold on his emotions, his sweet words sent

waves of warmth in her heart. The two reached the 10th floor of the building, the highest where the

ceo's cabin and the guest room was situated.

Ryan and Catherine looked at the close room with all their childhood memory rushing back into their

mind, behind these closed doors was the place where their love story bloomed. Ryan pushed the door

open and made way for her to go in. The room was pitch black and so Catherine went forward to click

the lights on. As soon as the lights turned on her sight was greeted by a human sized box decorated by

roses and ribbons; she covered her mouth in surprise and observed the box.

"R... Ryan?" She called out for him inspecting the beautiful gift box in front of her. The boy came from

behind and held her shoulder with his strong arm before saying, "Do you remember, Cathey... That was

where you crashed onto me and healed every wound of loneliness and meaninglessness of my life

forever."

She remembered, she remembered it all! The place where the box stood was where they met for the

first time, these were really small details and the fact that he put so much consideration into it moved

her into tears.

She hid herself in his arms as tears overpowered her senses; Ryan wasn't irritated or startled by her

sudden burst of emotions, instead he Lovingly held her in his arms allowing her to cry as much as

possible.

She was the love of his life, if he never met her he had no idea what he would have became by now or

if he would have even be a human. She was the reason his heart was beating and he wanted to

cherish her.
